Kate Block, 71, of Vidor, passed away on January 11, 2021.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born on May 18, 1949, she was the daughter of Columbus Williams and Philomene (Delory) Williams. Kate loved to travel and work in her yard. She had a special place in her heart for her cats, and often enjoyed spending time fishing with her beloved husband. Kate left an impact on everyone she met and will be deeply missed for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents Columbus and Philomene Williams; son, Charles Solvik; and brothers, Joseph Williams of Rock Island and “Buck” Norbert Williams of Slagle, Louisiana.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, David Block; children, David Allan Block and wife Margie of Etoile, and Betty Ann Hartman and husband Chad of Groves; daughter-in-law, Penny Baute and husband Karl of Conroe; and grandchildren, Brandon Solvik of Conroe along with eight additional grandchildren.
