June Lavelle Murff, 80, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2013, Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with Mr. Mark Legendre officiating. Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Orange. Serving as Pallbearers will be Charlie Holder, Stephen Rickard, Jimmy Henry, Ron Niederhofer, Glen Stephenson and Thomas Stephenson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Lynn Wallace.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Born in Newton County, Texas on June 12, 1933, June was the daughter of Lloyd and Bertha (Brown) Stephenson. June attended Chenier Business School where she received her certification and for a number of years she worked as a bookkeeper. June was a devoted wife, mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Carroll G. Murff; and brother, Lloyd “Bubba” Stephenson. June is survived by her daughter, Gayle Rickard of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mike McClain of Paris; and son and daughter-in-law, James and Karon Murff of Huntsville.
June is also survived by her grandchildren, Charlie Holder and wife, Tara of Vidor, Stephen Rickard of Magnolia; two great-grandchildren, Ashton Holder, Hayden Holder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
