Obituary

Dianne Sims, 73, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend John Bickham. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Weeks Chapel Cemetery in Newton County, Texas.

Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Jasper, Texas, on March 20, 1952, she was the daughter of William Daniel Robinson and Wanda Elaine (Henderson) Robinson. Judy was a devoted stay-at-home mom and wife who loved her family very much. She was a strong woman who made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Judy was an extremely classically trained talented pianist. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and keyboard for many churches her father pastored since the age of 9. Throughout her life, Judy shared her musical gifts by playing at churches, weddings, and funerals, bringing joy and comfort to those around her. Judy will be remembered for her love for her family, her devotion to the Lord and her passion for music, which enriched the lives of many. She was full of joy and loved by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend William Daniel Robinson and Wanda Robinson Taylor; husband, Reverend John Sims; sons, Brad David Sims and Robert Daniel “Bob” Sims; brother, William Daniel Robinson; and in-laws, Robert and Kathie Sims

She is survived by her niece, Marah Bryant and husband Chad; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Black and husband Curtis; and other family and friends.
