I just recently learned that Mrs. Perry had passed away. She was my favorite teacher of all time. She was so sweet and caring, and she expected the best out of each student. She gave me a zero on a homework assignment because I let another student copy mine, but she was the teacher I chose when I needed a teacher to attend the Pilot Club award dinner with me. I am so happy I saw her last summer at a class reunion. She influenced so many lives, and she will live forever in our hearts. Sue Ann Brown Quinn, Class of 1974

My memories of Mrs. Perry are from ofjh. She was an awesome caring teacher. I hadn't seen her for many years until I ran into her at Mr. Fred's viewing. She hadn't changed a bit. That warm welcoming smile and she was always good for a few laughs....my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends left behind. We will all be reunited again one day and will always be welcomed with a smile...Thank you Mrs. Perry for all you did for all of us.

Mrs Perry was a wonderful teacher and mentor. I love literature because she was able to bring it to life. I am the grammar nazi that I am because of her. I have thought of her over the years with fondness and admiration. Rest in peace in God's love.

Mrs. Perry was my English teacher my junior year at Orangefield High School. Her love for literature lit a desire to learn and read as never before. I was blessed to have many wonderful English and Reading teachers at Orangefield, but Mrs. Perry spurred me on and created a desire to read. I am now a Reading Intervention teacher. She always said to find "the story" and I encourage my students to find "the story". My thoughts and prayers for the family and my thanks to Mrs. Perry. Karla Duerr Pokraka
