Joyce Ann Powell, 58, of Orange, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014, at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland.

Funeral services will be 10am, Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley of First Baptist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 2, 1955, Joyce was the daughter of Elmer Hamor and Ella Mae (Price) Hamor. She worked as a drafter for Mustang Engineering.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Hamor.

She is survived by her husband, David Powell; brothers, Elmer Hamor, Jr. and Darrell Hamor; sisters, Cathy Hodges, Wanda Hamor, Martha Wyatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
