When we moved to Tenaha in the 60's, some of our first friends were, Johnny, Larry and Ann..Their Paw and Maw Shelton lived across the patch from us, so we spent a lot of time running back and forth and had some really great and intense games of Rummy and dominos at our house. All through Jr. High and High school, we were close friends and walked to many football and basketball games together..I will always cherish the memories I have of Johnny and his sweet smile and gentle spirit...I wish I could be there for his service, but Ann, Larry and family you will all be in my thoughts as we all say, not good bye, but see you soon...love ya Johnny.

Johnny was my husband Eugene Gordons cousin but in reality Johnny was his brother and he was the best man at our wedding in 1982. In the spring of 2008 Eugene passed away from cancer and although Daniel, my son and I were now 800 miles away in Kansas, Johnny always checked on us, if there was a tornado or any kind of bad weather he would call to make sure we were ok...or sometimes just to call and say hi and we are thinking about you. We will miss him greatly! Kim, Daniel, Hope and Carter
