John Wallace Premeaux

John Wallace Premeaux, 83, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 10, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Gary McCormick and Dan Cruse. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in West Orange.

Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in El Paso, Texas, on October 11, 1941, he was the son of Julian “JJ” Premeaux and Jean (Picard) Premeaux. He lived a full life dedicated to his work as a mechanic at Dupont. John was known for his big personality; he loved engaging in conversations and always seemed to find someone to talk to. His mornings were filled with energy, reflecting his enjoyment of the early hours. He was a beloved figure in the lives of his grandchildren, proudly taking on the role of "Paw Paw." He cherished spending time with them and created many treasured memories. John loved fishing, especially for bass, and enjoyed being outside. He was also a big sports fan, passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. John had deep ties within his community, being a proud member of First Christian Church. His love for gardening shone through in his participation in the Rose Society, where he nurtured and cultivated hybrid roses. John's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JJ and Jean Premeaux.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Premeaux; daughter, Jennifer Tippett and husband Randy; son, Billy Premeaux and wife Karen; grandchildren, Johnathen Tippett, Patrick Tippett and fiancé Helen; Bailey Hess-Premeaux and husband Ben, and Lauren Premeaux; siblings, Brenda Lyttle and Rose Mott and husband Lonnie; as well as other loving family and friends.

We can never forget our friendship of 60 years. We traveled from one side of the country to the other Laughed and loved each other. Johnny Owens was one of his fishing partners. They had so much enjoyment from that. We will miss him terribly.
