Jimmie L. Smith
Jimmie L. Smith, 70, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on November 20, 2015, in Orange, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, December 6, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Vidor. Officiating will be Reverend Terry Wright. Cremation was under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
Born in Eupora, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Tommie and Pauline Lawrence. Jimmie was very involved in her church. She loved to sing and participated in many trios, quartets, and choir programs throughout the years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Billy Lawrence; and sister, Bobbie Oswalt.
She is survived by her husband, Lowrey A. Smith; children, Jeff Smith and wife Kathaleen, of Austin, and Ellen Trinkle and husband Kevin, of Vidor; grandchildren, Dillon and Kristen Smith, and Nathan, Kaylie, and Jeremy Trinkle; brothers, Harold Lawrence, of Ackerman, Mississippi and Michael Lawrence, of Eugene, Oregon; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
