Jesse Lee Norris

1956 ∼ 2018

Jesse Lee Norris, 61, of Orange, Texas, left this earth while sleeping peacefully on January 1, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City with Father Jim McClintock officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mose-Granger Cemetery in Orangefield, Texas.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on March 22, 1956, he was the son of Wilbert Doucet and Jimmie (Weeks) Doucet. Jesse was a man that adored his wife and children. Gail, Megan, and Blaed were his world. For those that were lucky enough to be in his extended family were always entertained by his sense of humor and his witty sayings. His two grandsons, Dacius and Laiten were the light of his life and each of those two boys brought limitless joy to his life. Jesse was always the life of a party and he will be missed by his many friends. Anyone that was lucky enough to be invited over for one of his meals would realize that he loved to cook. Jesse found so much peace and joy on his beach visits, he loved the sound of the waves and would go every chance he got. He was a lifetime member of the Orange Boat Club. Even at his age, he thought he was ten feet tall and bulletproof. Jesse was a very kind man that loved to help others.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Boullion) Norris; daughters, Megan Lytle and husband Brian, and Victoria Ramos; grandchildren, Dacius Lytle, Laiten Lytle, and Ruby Mullen; Dad, Wilbert Doucet and wife Minnie; and his siblings, Randy Norris and wife Vicki, of Groves, Sandy Brown, of Groves, Dina Doucet, of Allen, Wesley Doucet and wife Gayla, of Beaumont, and Jodi Doucet and wife Melissa, of Mount Belvieu.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie Doucet and his father, Claude Norris; son, Blaed Norris; and his brother, Harold Norris.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Flook, Jeff Braus, Jack Greenwell, Craig Boudreaux, Chris Romano, and Wayne Bradley.

I'm sorry for your loss, I was a childhood friend of Jesse's . We played little league baseball together when we were 7 to 9 years old and were good friends. Mr. Doucet and my Dad coached our team (Nunnley Stanley). We stayed in trouble doing anything other than playing baseball during practice and we did a lot of running as a result. I've thought about him often through the years and I know that he will be missed. John Lackey

I never saw Gail without Jesse, they were joined at the hip. My heart breaks for you and your family. I also never saw him that he wasnt smiling and saying "Hey Pie,come see us girl" I know the loss of his son broke him in two and he couldnt ever wrap his mind around it to heal his heart. May the Lord ease your pain a lil Gail knowing he is at peace now with his boy. He left so many with great memories and was a friend to all he met. Much love & sympathy, Pie (Sindy Flores)

Nothing but fond memories of Jesse. The only thing bigger than his smile was his heart.

Jesse cooked a sausage and potato casserole that I absolutely loved! He showed me how to do it one day that I’ll cherish forever! Love to his family. We’ll miss him very much. Dionna and David Fregia
