Jeanette (Jean) Marie Aguillard, 77, of Kirbyville, died Friday, September 26, 2014, in Vidor, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City, with Father Steve Leger officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home in Bridge City, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Born in Kinder, Louisiana, on July 2, 1937, Jean was the daughter of Paul LaFargue and Clarice Duplechan. She was a longtime member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Orange Bowling League, and the Bridge City Ladies Softball Team. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She kept busy quilting, crafting, hunting, fishing, reading, and many other things.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Blake Powers.
Jean is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl Bryan Aguillard of Orange; daughters, Debra (Debbie) White of Orange, Katherine (Paula) Aguillard of Katy; and grandchildren, William (Paul) Powers, Heather Thibodeaux, and Angela and Jonathan Baggett. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Victoria Edgerton, Zachary Baggett, Arian Thibodeaux, and Brynlee Baggett; and her sister, Judy Doga.
Serving as Pallbearers will be William Paul Powers, Charles Graves, Douglas Graves, Daniel Doga, Edgard Aguillard, and Jonathan Baggett, with Zachary Baggett serving as Honorary Pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 6055 South Loop East, Houston, TX 77087-1005.
