Jean Wayman, 86, of Orange, passed away on July 10, 2017, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on February 16, 1931, she was the daughter of Harold Packer and June (Gregory) Packer. Jean was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She volunteered frequently for the March of Dimes, Orange Christian Services, and the Humane Society. She was an avid reader and loved the library. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, James W. Wayman; brothers, Fred Packer and Richard Packer; sister, Ruth Eddy; and brother-in-law, Stan Hitt.
She is survived by her children, Fred Wayman and wife, Deborah, of Orange, TX, and Jayne Marcinek and husband, Damian, of Coopersburg, PA; grandchildren, Brad Wayman, Aaron Wayman and wife, Carla, Nathan Whitaker and wife, Andrea, Tori DelVecchio and husband, Frank, Sam Marcinek and wife, Moranda, and Victoria Lang, and one great-grandchild, Rearden Wayman; sister, Reba Hitt; brothers, Don Packer, and Ron Packer, and their families; sister-in-law, Shirley Packer and her family; and niece, Debbie Eddy Goodwin and her family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Wayman, Brad Wayman, Aaron Wayman, Ron Packer, Nathan Whitaker, and Sam Marcinek. Honorary pallbearer will be Damian Marcinek.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 for DIPG Research, or to The American Heart Association at 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.

I always remember how excited I would get growing up when aunt Jean and Uncle Jim were coming to grandma's to visit!!! Loved those times! Also going to Texas to visit as little kids! Will miss you Aunt Jean!
