Obituary
Jean Ann Ickles, 65, passed away on December 11, 2020 in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Rudy Elizondo of Well of Hope in Bridge City. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Corsicana, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Tony Stephens.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Kerrville, Texas, on May 16, 1955, she was the daughter of Billy Gene Brown and Nora (Bridges) Brown. Jean was a faithful member of Well of Hope in Bridge City. She adored her family and loved taking care of everyone that was in need. Jean loved her fur babies and was such a gentle soul. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Brown; mother and stepfather, Nora and Robert Kenyon; and son, Donald Robert Ickles.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Overton Ickles; son, Billy Ray Brown; grandson, Blane Brown of Bridge City and his mother, Jessica Thomas; brother, Ricky Brown and wife Tracy of Corsicana; brother-in-law, Dan Ickles and wife Pat of Spring; and numerous cousins and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Well of Hope at 120 Bland Dr., Bridge City, Texas 77611.
