Obituary
James Robert (Bob) Roach, age 90, went to be with our Lord on January 18, 2018 in Lufkin Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Johnny Lee of Johnstown, Colorado. Masonic graveside services will follow at Autumn Oak Memorial Park in Orange.
Mr. Roach was born in Springfield, Missouri on May 17, 1927. After serving our country in the Navy in World War II and Korea, he had a long career with and retired from DuPont in Orange. He was a 32nd degree Mason with over 50 year’s membership in the Madison Lodge. He was also a Shriner with El Mina Temple for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Vera Lee Roach; second wife, Betty McHugh Roach; and son-in-law, Johnny Hawkins.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet Lee and husband Johnny and Kathy Hawkins; grandson’s, Shawn Slocum and wife Michelle, John Slocum and wife Theresa and Bryan Hawkins; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shrine Children’s Hospital, 815 Market St., Galveston, Texas 77550.
