Jack E. Barron, 80, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2019, in Vidor.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Jack was born in Orange, Texas, on October 10, 1938 and grew up in Little Cypress. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack was a talented trumpet player and was a member of the Elite U. S. Army Ceremonial Band. After 30 years of service at several petrochemical companies, he retired and became the proprietor of Jack’s Unlock It. Jack was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, where he achieved the Patriotic Degree (4th Degree). He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Jack was a doting father and devoted husband. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his son Aaron Eugene Barron; and his two grandchildren, Beau Barron and Summer Conn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bertha Mae Barron; his children, Dr. Bryan Barron of Vidor, Cristal Dorsey and husband John of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Denita Schmieg and husband Brian of Vidor; his 6 grandchildren; and his 5 great-grandchildren.
