Hiram Knox Clark, Sr.
Hiram Knox Clark, Sr. was born in Fairmont, Texas on February 16, 1928. He was the son of N.E. Clark and Bertie (Fullen) Clark.

After serving his country in the United States Army, Knox went to work as a carpenter. He later established his own custom building business, H.K. Clark and Sons, Inc.

An ordained Deacon since September 17, 1968, Knox was an active church member of First Baptist Church, Bridge City serving in many positions, even to the end.

In addition to his parents, Knox is preceded in death by his sisters, Laverne Smith and Bobbie Hankins; his brothers, Easuel Clark, Jr., Doil Clark, and Bill Clark; and grandson, Daryl King.

Knox is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Gussie Clark; sons, Hiram Clark, Jr. and wife Janice and Philip Clark and wife Sandra; daughters, Sharon Bell and Carolyn Brown; 7 grandchildren, Richard King, Robert Brown, Jr. and wife Vickie, Stacy Clark, H.K. Clark, III and wife Heather, Jennifer O’Keefe and husband Billy, Brian Clark and wife Amanda, and Laura Kennon and husband Chad; 10 great-grandchildren, Deegan King, Camden and Cambrie Clark, Ethan and Gianluca Brown, Brayson and Blain O’Keefe, Charlotte Clark, and Jordy and Tommy Kennon; sisters, Mozelle Hillyer, Jo Nell Laroue, and Reba Barnett.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Doug Shows, of First Baptist Church in Bridge City and Reverend Dale Lee, of Cowboy Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richard King, Deegan King, Robert Brown, Ethan Brown, H.K. Clark, Camden Clark, Brian Clark, Billy O’Keefe, and Chad Kennon.
