Guy was my cousin. His mom, Betty, was my dad's sister. That sweet lady gave my dad a place to live after he & my mother divorced, so I saw Guy a lot when I visited my dad in Houston. I saw Guy regularly, even after he & his mom moved to West Orange. After my dad passed, I took my wife (and later, my kids) to West Orange to keep in touch with family. Guy was always happy to see us all. I'm sorry that I didn't keep closer contact with him these past few years. Patsy, we are praying for you. Jack Harris

Patsy, I am so sorry to learn of Guy's passing. Guy was one of the kindness men I've ever met. He made some hard days at work a lot more bearable. I'm so glad the two of you found each other & had such a wonderful relationship. Those memories & God's grace will see you thru the days ahead. Sincerely, Charlotte Wooten

My late wife, Florence Sonnier, worked with Guy’s mother Betty, for many years at the D.P.S. During those years we watched a fine young boy grow up into a much loved and respected man. Guy was a joy to visit with because he loved to laugh. I’m certainly going to miss him. God bless his family that loved him so much. Love, C.J. Sonnier

Three sisters, Edna Lee, Betty (Guy’s Mom), and Winnie (my Mom) moved to Orange to work at the shipyards during WWII. My brothers, Gary & Barry and cousin Guy and I spent many a day playing and being mischievous on Houston Street in West Orange. Memories of those days will remain in our hearts forever. Guy will be missed. Larry
