Gordy Fregia, 57, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2017, in Beaumont, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend K. Ray McDowell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 10, 1959, Gordy was the son of Roy and Virginia Fregia. He worked as a supervisor for Equitable Bag and retired from Pinehurst Volunteer Fire Department after 35 years of service. He enjoyed helping with the reserve police, as well as benefits for the police and other charities. Gordy loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Fregia; his sister, Regina Lynn Fregia; and sister-in-law, Beth Fregia.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Fregia; siblings, Tony and Janet Fregia, of Orange, Carl and Carolyn Fregia, of Orange, Steve and Jan Foreman, of Orange, Roger Fregia and Cindy Paglia, of Tampa, FL, David and Melissa Fregia, of Lumberton, and Clint and Phyllis Fregia, of Bridge City; 14 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and nephews; uncle, Jimmy Penick; and numerous cousins.

Gordy I remember the times we would stand by our cars late at night and lission to our police scanners and jump in our car to go and see what would happen, I will never forget all the BBQ we would have for alot of OPD and DPS every Sunday. May God bless your soul.
