George “Terry” McDaniel, 70, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2020, at his home in Orange.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Dwayne Guillory, of Victory Gospel Chapel in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Born in DeQuincy, Louisiana, on February 10, 1949, he was the son of Homer McDaniel and Margie Pierce McDaniel. Terry attended numerous schools growing up, always making friends wherever he went. He graduated from Kirby High School in Woodville, Texas and went on to proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic in the Vietnam war under the First Infantry Division, also known as “The Big Red 1”. Upon returning from Vietnam he spent a short time as a Respiratory Tech and later a Pipefitter and Machinist. Terry loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Margie McDaniel, and his sister, Darlene Begley.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann McDaniel; children, Stephanie McDaniel, Victoria McDaniel, and Jason Penn, all of Orange; grandchildren, Jordan and husband Robert, Brock, Elias, Eric, Jadyn, Kierston, Dylan, Davin, Aiden, and Landon; great-grandchildren, Carter, Nehemiah and Kynleigh; along with numerous other loving family and friends.

Miss MaryAnn and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Terry was a good man and I will forever be thankful for things he did and advice he gave me that helped me in life. Even though it has been many years since I moved back to MI, please know that I have never forgotten him or any of you.
