Gene Lummus went home to be with the Lord February 18, 2022.
Gene was the son of Vertis Lummus, Sr. and Melba Tucker Lummus, born November 19, 1960 in Orange, Texas. He graduated Little Cypress Maruiceville in 1979. Gene enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. He was an avid motorspors enthusiast owning various boats, muscle cars and motorcycles over the years. He loved pets and dogs of all types. Gene loved his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was a generous person with kind disposition, he will be truly missed.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Melba Lummus and Vertis Lummus, Sr.
He is survived by his brother, Vertis Lummus, Jr. and Wanda, niece and nephew, Amber Lummus and Cooper Lang, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate Gene’s life at a later date.
