Gayla Renee Sherrill
Gayla Renee Sherrill, 52, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2019, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Robert LeBlanc, of Hope Lutheran Church in Winnie. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Orange, Texas, on October 18, 1966, she was the daughter of Edwin Foreman and Judy (Hardy) Foreman. Gayla spent many years working in Medical Records for Baptist Hospital in Orange, Texas. Gayla was a collector of many things, including miniature figurines such as teddy bears. She enjoyed watching the fish in her fish tank, and her favorite TV show, Big Bang Theory. Gayla also enjoyed getting out and going to garage sales and flea markets, but loved playing with her grandkids the most. Gayla was a loving wife, mother, and MawMaw who will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Foreman; and her grandparents, Cowboy and Della Hardy, and Wilbur and Vergie Foreman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Kevin Sherrill; mother, Judy Foreman, of Orangefield; children, Tyler Ladner and wife Lisa, of Port Neches and Kaylon Brack and husband Ryan, of Orangefield; grandchildren, Kortni Gunn, Kamryn Brack, and Jenna Ladner; sister, Angie Foreman, of Vidor; niece and nephew, Jessica Meyer and Marc Meyer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Yvonne Sherrill; and her uncle, Steve Hardy.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Brack, Donnie Blanchard, Steve Hardy, Skylar Hunter, David Bonds, Dalton Bonds, Kade Foreman, and Nicholas Istre.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 or at diabetes.org.
