Gavin Patrick Comeaux, 66, of Orange, passed away on December 20, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 17, 1955, he was the son of Gavin O. Comeaux and Hilda (Dittrich) Comeaux. He retired from Valero after 29 years. Gavin was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church. He was a simple man of many talents, of few words, and respected by many. He was a loving dad, husband and papa. Gavin was a skilled woodworker, metalworker, and enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting whenever he had the chance. He will be missed deeply by all those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gavin and Hilda Comeaux; father-in-law, Richard J. Breaux, Sr.; baby brother, Christopher Comeaux; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Breaux and Kenny Wilks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judy Breaux Comeaux; children, Todd Patrick Comeaux and wife Mechille of Orange and Dawn Marie Martin and husband Clint of Orange; grandchildren, Case Comeaux, Anabelle Stout, Cash Comeaux, Dallas Martin, Allie Martin; mother-in-law, Bernice Breaux Suire; and siblings, Vernell Chiasson of Port Arthur, Jan Harmon and husband Butch of Fannett, Beverly Arnaud and husband Les of Port Neches; brothers-in-law, Richard J. Breaux, Jr. and wife Marilyn, Ronald Breaux, and Larry Breaux and wife Sylvia and sisters-in-law, Rita Breaux, Debra Wilks and Mike; along with many other loving family and friends.
