Eulas E. “Bud” Walker, Jr., of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 29, 2017, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at First United Pentecostal Church in Orange with Reverend Gary P. Wheeler, officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Bud was born on November 12, 1936, in Rutherford, North Carolina. The son of Eulas Walker, Sr. and Bessie Lee (Melton) Walker, he was the youngest of four children. Eulas proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1970 after 20 years of service attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Orange for 36 years where he served as a Board Member, Usher, Sunday School Teacher, and Choir Member. He married the love of his life, Frances, on April 23, 1982 at that very church. Bud generously supported many charities including the Wounded Warrior Foundation, Project Hope, George W. Bush Presidential Center, Boys Town, Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, and the Apostolic Ministries to Africa. He was a very giving and wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eulas and Bessie Walker; siblings, Thomas Walker, Florence Goode, and Ruby Padgett; and his step-daughter, Lynda Carmane.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Ann Walker; children, Gary Joe Walker, Michelle Jackson, Bradley Walker, Craig Walker, and Megan Hard; step-son, Rickey Guidry; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
