Essa Jones-Duplechain was summoned from life on April 9, 2021 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Born May 22, 1925 in Liberty, Texas to the late Joe Jones and Lillian Monroe. Essa lived in Orange, Texas for many years. Essa was a member of Starlight Baptist Church #1 for many years.

Family & friends will often recall the times shared with her, her concern for others, and the many days of creating special memories that will continue to live on.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Monroe; father, Joe Jones; husband, Percy Duplechain; daughter-in-law, Mary Lois Jones; sister, Bertha Charlot, Coretha Richard, Alice Mayfield; and brothers, Percy Hebert, Theophile Hebert, Jr., John Hebert, Sr., Nace Jones, and Bertman Hebert, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories son, Larry Jones Sr.; grandson, Larry “Sidney” Jones, Jr.; granddaughter, Faithron Jones; great-granddaughtgers, Jasmine Jones, Jazlyn Young & Jada Jones; great-grandson, Jamarion Jones; brother, Felix Hebert; and a host of nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends who she cherished with all of her heart.
