Ertha Lea Brister

Ertha Lea Brister, 81, of Orange died Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Marlow Baptist Church in Marlow, LA.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Ertha was born February 17, 1927, in Marlow, LA to Willy and Nettie Bass Deason.

Ertha is survived by her husband, Lee Harley Brister of Orange; children and their spouses, Veronica Swain and husband William Ivan of Lacassine, LA, Wallace Brister of Baytown and Janice Enloe and husband Keith of Orange; granddaughters, Heather Lea Chapman and Regina Marie Swain, grandsons, William I. Swain, Jr. and Leon Seth Swain; and four great grandchildren.
