Obituary
Elda Lucille Enochs was born August 30, 1925 in Gentry, Arkansas to Benjamin Franklin Enochs and Martha Viola Copeland Enochs. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1943 and attended Kilgore Junior College. She married George Moultrie Coker and had two children, Eldon Joseph “Butch” Coker and Patricia Ann Coker White. Elda and George moved to Orange in 1948. Elda pursued many activities: member of North Orange Baptist Church since 1949 where she was active in WMU, choir, NOBS, church secretary, nursery, Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school, NOBC senior tour trips, weekly visitation and singing at senior living facilities, secretary to City of Orange Public Works Department Director, and dedicated to caring for her husband and family. Her other pastimes with friends included: cooking, baking, crocheting, quilts, water aerobics, swimming, and card playing with friends. Elda left an incredible legacy with her family, her church family, and friends. Her faith to her Lord and loyalty to her family was instrumental in her life’s achievements.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Enochs and Martha Viola Enochs, husband George Moultrie Coker, and brothers, Samuel Dean Enochs, Jack Dempsey Enochs, William Harley Enochs, and Monty Joseph Enochs. She is survived by: her children, Eldon “Butch” Coker, Patricia White and spouse Danny White; her grandchildren, Christopher Brett Coker, Vanessa Yvonne Howard, Richard White, John White, Patrick White, their spouses, Lesa Coker, Ara Howard, Ruby White, Katy White; her great grandchildren, Clay Coker, Cade Coker, Brittney Ho, James Ho, Elaine Cline, Ricky Cline, Justin Cline, Kristi White, Briana Coronado, Diego Coronado; and nine great, great grandchildren.
