Elaine Bergeron, 83, of Buna, Texas, passed away on September 4, 2019, in Orange, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2019, at Sardis Cemetery, in Center, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Born in Shelby County, Texas, on April 5, 1936, she was the daughter of John “J.M.” Milton Anthony and Zolema Corene Anthony. Elaine was part of the Stark graduating class of 1954 and went on to business school before working as a Secretary for DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her dogs. Elaine will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, J.M. and Zolema Anthony; and her loving husband, Melvin Bergeron.

She is survived by her brother, Delton Anthony, of Gist; and her nieces and nephews, Leslie Elaine Hillin and husband Berry, Keith Anthony, Dr. Jeffrey “Scott” Anthony and wife Marcie, and Todd Anthony and wife Jennifer.
