Doris Elaine Peveto, 81, of Orangefield, passed away on December 3, 2014, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, December 7, at First Baptist Church in Orangefield. Officiating will be Reverend Cody Hogden. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orangefield, Texas, on December 10, 1932, Doris was the daughter of Ausbon A. Scales and Katie May (Burke) Scales. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Orangefield. A very social woman, Doris loved the Lord and enjoyed helping others whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benny Peveto; her great grandson, Logan Wright; two brothers; and three sisters.
Doris is survived by her sons, Bruce Peveto, of Dover, Tennesee, Bobby Peveto and wife, Elaine, of Plano, Benny Peveto and wife, Elizabeth, of Witchita Falls; daughters, Brenda Brown and husband, Tony, of Brookshire, and Becky Hodgkinson of Orangefield; sister, Geneva Mancil
of Orange; Ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Orangefield, 9788 Farm to Market 105 Orange, TX and The American Cancer Society, 755 S. 11th Street, Ste. 212, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
