Debra Lynn Williams, 72, of Orange, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2026. She was born in Orange on January 16, 1954, to Bob and Gladys (Bodenhamer) Tuter.
Debra dedicated her life to education as a teacher in Waxahachie, Texas, where she taught early childhood and severe and profound students. She loved her job and the impact she made on her students' lives. After her retirement, Debra moved back to Orange.
She had a passion for reading books and was an excellent seamstress. Debra and her beloved husband, William, shared a love for travel, visiting all of the states in the Union and Canada. She was a longtime member of The Wednesday Lunch Bunch at First Baptist Church in Orange and a faithful member of North Orange Baptist Church. Debra was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be forever missed.
Debra is survived by her husband of 38 years, William Williams; her son, Billy Williams; and her daughter, Debie Williams. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Liam, Emerald, Atlas, and Orion Williams. She is further survived by her sister, Pam Strohm and husband Harvill; her sisters-in-law, Edith Tuter, Iris Tuter, and Jan Tuter; and many loved nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Bobby Tuter, Ronald Tuter, James Tuter, and Linda Chrishop.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
