In Loving Memory of David “Scott” Sharkey.
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved father, David “Scott” Sharkey. He left this world on June 15, 2026, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. His departure has left us with a deep sense of loss and sadness.
Born on September 6, 1950, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he lived a life filled with passion, purpose and unwavering determination. He embraced every challenge with grace and faced adversity with unwavering strength. Throughout his journey, he touched the lives of countless people with kindness, wisdom and infectious laughter.
As a devoted husband and father, he nurtured a loving and close knit family. He was the cherished husband of Malinda (Dickinson) Sharkey, and together for more than fifty seven years, they created a beautiful legacy of love and devotion. His children, Chis Sharkey, Kim Sharkey, Shawn (and Heath) Aune and Venus (and Mark) Police were his pride and joy. His warm presence and unconditional love will forever be missed by his four children, two sons-in-law, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In remembering our father, we honor the vibrant spirit that radiated from within him. His love for fishing and his zest for life was contagious. He had a remarkable way of making everyone feel valued and heard. ‘Til we see you again……
