Darlene Moseley, 75, of Bridge City, passed away on August 18, 2021, in Bridge City.

A graveside service for Darlene will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at Autumns Oaks Cemetery in Orange.

Born in Bridge City, Texas, on January 10, 1946, she was the daughter of Merritt Joseph Freeland and Vada Irene (Miller) Freeland. Darlene was a wonderful cook, and her family loved her recipes. She loved birdwatching and made sure to feed them everyday. Darlene enjoyed reading and tending to her plants. Her happy place was at the beach and she loved visiting every chance she got. Darlene will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merritt and Vada Freeland; her brothers, Arlis Freeland, Terry Freeland and Jerry Freeland; her daughter, Charlene Tarver; and her granddaughter, Jodie Higginbotham.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 20 years, Michael Moseley; children, Carol Abbott and husband Rick of Fort Worth, Jerry Moseley and wife Brenda of Orange, Terry Moseley and wife Sunni of Orange, Jackie Glidden and LaDonna of Orange, and Michael Glidden of Orange; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Paula Stucky, Meredith Kirkmeyer, and Vivian Richard.
