Corey Michael Bland, 32, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2020, in Orange.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 25, 1987, he was the son of Michael Bland and Roxanna Blanchard. Corey attended West Orange – Stark High School and went on to spend many years working hard as a concrete worker. He was a very kind hearted and helpful man who would give you the shirt off of his back so you didn’t go without. Corey enjoyed being around friends and was the life of the party. He loved to dance and was always laughing. Corey’s kind heart and wonderful smile will live on in those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ashley Bland; his grandparents, Roland and Lowella Blanchard; and his grandmother, Beverly Gary.

Corey is survived by his father, Michael Bland and wife Jamee, of West Orange; mother, Roxanna Blanchard, of Orange; his loving girlfriend, Brandye Bishop, of Orange; children, Tyler Bland, Trey Bland, and Andrew Bland; siblings, Chris Bland and wife Spirit and Kalyn Bland; his niece, Jalynn Guillory; and the mothers of his children, Kristi Melancon and Maychelle Albright; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
