Clifford Gordon Reese, Sr., 89, of Port Arthur, passed away on June 22, 2022 at Rose Place Assisted Living in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor Jeremy Bradshaw of Liberty Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Mausoleum in Orange.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church in Bridge City.
Born in Orange, Texas, on October 27, 1932, he was the son of Richard W. Reese and Florence Reese. Clifford could fix anything. He often put his skills to the test by volunteering on christian building trips building Churches, even helping building Liberty Baptist. Clifford was a very well respected Treasurer and Deacon at the Liberty Church. He loved his grandchildren, knowing him as their “Da”. Clifford took several trips with his kids, many including skiing, fishing, and Disney trips. He will forever be known as “The Perfect Daddy” and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Reese; parents, Richard W. and Florence Reese; grandson, Clifford “Trey” Reese III; siblings, Cherry Reese, Richard Reese, Jr., and Kenneth W. Reese.
He is survived by his daughters, Deanna Crull and husband Bill, and Jane Cordell and husband Guy; son, Clifford “Kippy” Reese, Jr. and wife Dana; sister, Carolyn Bell; sister-in-law, Mary Morgan; along with 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Darren Crull, Danny Crull, Guy Cordell, Jr., Bill Crull, Guy Cordell, Sr., and Kippy Reese. Honorary pallbearer is Jill Cordell.

So sorry to have missed the memorial service for Clifford. We have many good memories of Clifford and Helen and their family…They were a vital part of our church building group for many years. Early memories go back to our daughter taking twirling lessons from Helen. Love and prayers for all the family, Bobby and Imogene Spross

Deanna and Bill, Jane and Guy; “Kippy” and Dana;sorry to hear about Mr Reese my prayers are with the family. I remember about sixty some years ago are longer Faxon and I was leaving Faxon's house on our bikes headed back to my house,the chain came off my bike and Mr Reese was outside and told us to bring the bike to him and He put the chain back on and adjusted it. Faxon and I thanked him and we went on our way.Anytime when I would pass by Mr Reese would always wave HI to me.Again I am sorry for your loss.
