Preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Block. His MawMaw, Janie and nephew Chaz Block.

Chris is survived by his wife and closest companion, Robyn Shugart Block, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Dilyn Dean. Nothing brought him greater happiness than his role as “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren, whom he guided with gentle wisdom and celebrated with boundless pride as they grew.

His grandchildren, affectionately known to him as Billy Goat (Becklynn Brice), Turkey Toes (Maylee Reign), Hot Rod (Nakoa Kane), and June Bug (Dawsyn Jo), his grandchildren were the light of his life.

Chris also leaves behind his brother Ed Block, brother Daryn Block, and sister Faryn Block as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members whose names are too numerous to list but whose place in his heart was immeasurable.

Chris found relaxation in fishing, poured his soul into singing, and thrived on the thrill of competition as a skilled and dedicated darts player. He regularly competed in tournaments, where his precision, focus, and camaraderie with fellow players shone through.

In addition to the family who filled his everyday life with love, Chris is also survived by his birth mother, Lee Maccabee; stepfather, Charlee Maccabee; sister, Tina McCoy; brothers, Jerry McPherson and Daniel Maccabee; and niece, Cheyenne (Shy Bug) McCoy.

Chris’s kindness, warmth, and devotion to his family and passions will live on in the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
