Caroline's Dad would bundle the family and come to our house in Silsbee to visit, when hurricanes threatened their home, and for family reunions. He and my mother were brother and sister. I was about 4 years younger so nor much attention was paid to me. I do remember laughing with her and Corliss and their fascination with Elvis. In later years we would gather at Aunt Ethy & Merton's Beach house. Those were fun times.
Then we drifted away as years passed.
I am sorry she is not with everyone now. I have fond memories as I know you do too.
Love, Sara Shepherd Clegg

The fun we had as kids, especially at your slumber parties, always brings a smile to my heart. And even though we were miles apart, we always called each other every year the night of the CMA awards. My beautiful friend, I will miss you dearly.
