Capitola “Cap” Ball, 94, of Orange, died February 17, 2015, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend K. Ray McDowell, pastor of Orange First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
Born in Loretta, Tennessee, on October 27, 1920, she was the daughter of Joseph Delmar Cole and Zella (Alvis) Cole. She worked as a cook in various school cafeterias, was a member of Orange First Church of the Nazarene and had volunteered for over 20 years with Orange Christian Services.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleon Clifford Ball; sons, Clifford Ball and Donald Ball; and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and her church family at Orange First Church of the Nazarene.

Cap was a best friend to me and my family. Her life of giving, serving and loving cannot be replaced. Heaven's aroma has gotten sweeter. I will miss her so much.

She was so special. Always willing to do anything she could. Never giving up even when not feeling well. Loved her Master Jesus and did her best to serve Him. She will be missed.

I met Cap at the Meadows at the church on Sunday. She knew every word to every song and I was amazed at how she got around at her age. She amazed me in many ways. Even after she moved there she was in church every Sunday leading the singing and doing most of it herself. I will miss Cap. God bless her. Beth Cassel
