Jenny, I am sad to hear of the passing of your Dad but know he is in a better place, with no more pain or suffering. It is difficult to lose a parent but your memories of this wonderful person will continue to put a smile on your face. I, along with several of my brothers and sisters had your Dad as our science teacher throughout the years and know that he made an impact on our lives. Sometimes it is the small things that a teacher does that is remembered for a lifetime. Our thoughts and sympathy goes out to you and your family during this time and we will keep you in our prayers. Take care my friend, Donna Franklin Vaught Lagos, Nigeria

I was a student of Mr. Ward's back at WO-S Middle School in 1977. He was always so kind and patient with us and I still remember playing with worms in his class. I am now a science teacher and owe it, in large part, to teachers like Mr. Ward. You were a great teacher and impacted so many. Thank you, Mr. Ward. Chris Ferguson Houston, Texas

My deepest sympathy to entire Ward family especially Jenny who was one of my best childhood friends. I remember riding my bike to your house to visit and remember your parents and family very fondly. We had lots of sleepovers and honestly hated that as we grew up we grew apart. I wish you and your family well and for many blessings as your go through this rough time. love, Kim (McKinley)Berlinger

I am saddened by the death of Mr. Ward. When a student of his from 30+ years ago (WOS Middle School when it was on Western Ave.) remembers him with good thoughts, you know he was not a good man but a GREAT man! Rest In Peace Mr. Ward!

To all the children who went to Cove School he was a great man and will always be remembered with respect. He was our rock as we transitioned to West Orange. I was very happy to walk into my science class and see a welcoming smile from Mr. Ward. We will miss you. Norma Bergeron

Mr. Ward was my science teacher for two years in Jr. High. I loved science and appreciated his teaching. We knew he liked us which made a big difference to us. I have just retired from teaching (33 years) and can appreciate the work and dedication it takes to teach. Especially Jr. High kids! Thanks Mr. Ward for all you did for us and others. Enjoy your heavenly reward!! Bill Dixon
