Billy Wayne Jones, 80, of Bridge City, passed away on October 28, 2020, in Port Arthur.
Services are pending through Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Carthage, Texas, on April 13, 1940, he was the son of Alan Horace Jones and Corine (Williams) Jones. Billy rode with Los Malos Motorcycle Club in Jefferson County and loved his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed sharing his life experiences and “Bill-isms” with anyone who would listen. Billy was a wonderful family man and was extremely involved in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives, attending as many of their events as he was able to. He was lovingly referred to as their “Pawpaw”. Billy was self taught from the ground up and was known for his dedication, hard-work and honesty. He will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Corine Jones; first wife, Geraldine Jones; second wife, Sylvia Jones; and companion, Barbara Mahaffey.
He is survived by his wife of almost three years, Susan Jones; children, Teresa Bowling and husband Hank of Port Neches, Lara Carter and husband Larry of Buna, Cathy Briant and husband Jay of Mauriceville, Carlene Lindsey and husband Robert Howard of Mauriceville, Billy Jones, Jr. and wife Katrina of Vidor, and Sondra Hammond and husband Thomas of Vidor; step-son, Corey Swiney of Bridge City; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; and brother, Alan Jones.
