Betty A. Street, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, in Diboll, TX, at the age of 91. She was born on November 9, 1934.
Betty was a devoted member of North Orange Baptist Church, where her beautiful spirit shone brightly. She found immense joy in her faith and actively participated in the church choir, handbell choir, and shared her musical talents by playing the piano. Her love for her church community was evident to all who knew her.
A loving housewife and mother, Betty cherished her family above all else. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in their presence. Betty was deeply loved and cherished by her family, who will forever remember her warm and compassionate nature.
Betty is survived by her devoted children, Kenneth Dwayne Street and his wife Pamela, and Kathryn Jane Halfacre and her husband Glenn. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Halfacre and his wife Celia, Adam Halfacre and his wife Christina, Philip Halfacre, and Bradley Street and his wife Brandy. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Arlo Halfacre, Sabra Halfacre, Elijah Halfacre, and Elliott Halfacre. She is also survived by her sister, Faye Messenger and her husband Randy.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam L. Street; her parents, Clifford Wilton and Grace Mae Murray; her great-grandson, Christopher Street; her brothers, Father Bernard Murray, Russell Murray, Jimmy Murray, and Ernest Murray; and her sister, Virginia Sowell.
Betty's loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Rusty Dollar. A visitation will be held prior to her services beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Orange.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Halfacre, Adam Halfacre, Philip Halfacre, and Bradley Street.
