Betty Jordan Snelson, 90, of Orange, passed away on January 18, 2021, in Beaumont.
A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Garrison, Texas, on January 24, 1930, she was the daughter of Fancher E. Jordan Sr. and Lenora Jopling Jordan. Betty served her Lord faithfully as a member of 9th and Elm Church of Christ in Orange. She was a member for over 50 years of the Order of Eastern Star in Orange Chapter #214. Betty will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Snelson; son-in-law, Kim Tinney; sister, Katherine Windham; and brothers, Fancher Jordan and Paul Jordan Sr.
She is survived by her children, Annette Sexton and husband John of Willis, Nancy Tinney Madding and husband Mike Madding of Beaumont, Jon Wayne Snelson and wife Yvette of Missouri City; grandchildren, Jeremy Sexton and wife Elissa of Austin, Tiffany Tinney and fiancé Jason Cox of Pearland, Kyle Tinney and wife Tish of Kountze, & Victoria Snelson, Sophie Snelson of Missouri City, and Chris Madding of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, Fancher Sexton, Lake Sexton, & Kain Tinney, Kash Tinney, and Asher Madding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the 9th and Elm Church of Christ at 501 9th St., Orange, Texas 77630.
