Beverly and Bert were wonderful friends to my parents and I for many years. I always enjoyed visiting and drinking coffee with them. My thoughts and prayers are with Linda, Karen, Sheree and Lori and their families at this time.

Bert and his sweet wife Beverly were two bright sunbeams in my life. They were wonderful friends. Bert Davis was the type of person Jesus was talking about when He said, “You are the salt of the earth…you are the light of the world.” Bert was kind, hospitable, industrious, thoughtful, self-sacrificing, and a man of many good works, even into his later years. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. A mutual friend said this week, “He was the finest man I have ever known.” Bert will be missed. Dear Davis family, my prayers and sympathy go out to you. May you be comforted by the Almighty’s love and peace and the hope He gives us for eternal life with Him. E'Dee Jenkins

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Mr Davis was such a sweet and thoughtful man and I really enjoyed the mayhaw jelly he gave me. I just wish I had asked him how to make it. Murl and LaQuinta Bishop

As a child I spent a lot of time at the Davis home. Karen and I were best friends at Cove Baptist Church. I was always amazed at how calm and even tempered Mr. Davis was, even in the mist of a houseful of adults. I even ask Karen one time if Her Dad ever lost his temper. Many years later I met Bert at Community Church and it was there as an adult that I understood what a kind, compassionate and Godly man he was. He did so much of the detail work in our sanctuary and all the toys he made for children at Christmas and just his smile and kindness will be missed. Karen, Linda, Sherri and Lori, I am praying for you and your families at the lose of this Godly father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Prayers and love to the family. I will miss visiting with Uncle Del (Bert Davis) by phone from time to time. May the Lord comfort you all. Love, Paula Peters (My mama Mickey Peters was Beverly's cousin but Mama and Daddy made us call them Uncle Del and Aunt Beverly since they were Mama and Daddy's age. Fond memories of visits as a child.)
