Obituary
Audrey Judith “Judy” Davis, 89, of Orange, passed away on April 7, 2017, in Vidor.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 10, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Chris Bankard and Reverend Robert Edwards. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.
Born in Orangefield, Texas, on March 16, 1928, she was the daughter of Joseph Walford Higginbotham and Naomi (Istre) Higginbotham. Judy was a member of North Orange Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed working all kinds of puzzles, sewing, and cooking. She loved being a mother, wife, and grandmother. She enjoyed being together with all of them for holidays and family functions, especially Christmas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Huey Davis; sisters, Nelry Prince and Delores Keith; and brothers, Norwood and Bud Higginbotham.
She is survived by her children, Sandra K. Townsend and husband, Kenneth, of Bridge City, TX, Lynda D. Cormier and husband, Mike, of Orange, TX, and Cheryl L. Davis-Vaughn and husband, Nathan, of Seabrook, TX; five grandchildren, Phillip DeBlanc and wife, Larissa, Angela Howard and husband, Bobby, Stephanie Townsend, Danielle Rodriguez, and Christian Buxton; and two great-grandchildren, Jakeb Howard, and Kaleb Howard.
