Willis Clayton "Bill" Livingston, a cherished member of his community and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 100. Born on December 8, 1924, in Merryville, Louisiana, he was the son of Floyd Livingston and Maudie Corine Mysell. Bill lived a life full of love, service, and dedication.
For 35 years, Bill made a mark in the world by working at Borden’s Ice Cream in Beaumont, Texas, where his commitment to hard work and excellence was evident. Beyond his professional life, Bill was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army with Company A, 86th Chemical Mortar Battalion in World War II, demonstrating the same dedication to his country that he would later show to his family and community.
A long-standing member of First Baptist Church in Bevil Oaks, and Rosedale Baptist Church in Beaumont. Bill was known for his generous spirit and love for helping others. His passion for life extended into many hobbies, including fishing, gardening, and learning to do his own maintenance work to save money. With a green thumb, he took great pride in cultivating vegetables, and fruits trees, providing fresh produce for family and friends. Bill’s home was also enriched with joyful memories spent camping hunting, and fishing with his grandsons, who lovingly referred to him as "Pawpaw."
Bill's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Sterling, and husband, Harvey; his son, Clayton Livingston, and wife, Phyllis; grandchildren, Stephen Sterling and wife Jeri, Jonathan Sterling and wife Tiffany, Robert Livingston and wife Tabitha; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Abigail, Heather, Jacob, Ziva, and Ezekiel. He will be fondly remembered by his sister, Mary Jordan, and husband Lonnie and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 76 years, Lula Belle Livingston, his parents, Floyd and Maudie Corine Livingston; and his sisters Faye Keel, Evelyn Stark, and Lucille McManus.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation service on July 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Bevil Oaks, located at 7725 Sweetgum Rd, Bevil Oaks, TX 77713. A funeral service will be held on July 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at First Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
