William James Rigby, Jr., 64, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on July 31, 2025, at home.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

Born in Jefferson County, Texas, on April 30, 1961, he was the son of Wiliam J. Rigby, Sr., and Ginger Rigby. James received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Lamar University. James was a proud father to his sons, Trevin and Blake, who brought him immense joy and happiness. He cherished the time spent with his sons and found great pleasure in sharing moments with family. James had a love for the outdoors as a skilled certified scuba diver and an avid deep sea and spear fisherman. He took great delight in simple pleasures like going to eat with his dad where they created lasting memories. James will be remembered for dedication to family, and love for the great outdoors. His legacy will continue through those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ginger Rigby; and son, Trevin Rigby.

He is survived by his father, William J. Rigby, Sr. “Bill”; son, Blake Rigby, and wife Bailey; sister, Connie Rigby Angelle, and husband Mark; as well as other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home Orange.
