Victoria Vela

Victoria Vela, 22, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 23, 2025, in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico.

A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, Texas. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, with a Rosary service taking place at 6:00 p.m.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 24, 2002, she was the beloved daughter of Hector Vela and Maria Vela Ibarra. Victoria was a recent graduate of Lamar State College Orange, Class of 2024, graduating with honors and earning President's List recognition as a Dental Assistant. She was employed at North Early Learning Center in Orange, Texas, where she was able to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a teacher. She fell in love with helping children thrive in the learning process during her time at the center. Just two weeks before her passing, she had accepted a full-time teacher's aide position at North Early Learning Center.

In addition to her work at the center, Victoria also ran her own small business, which she called Vick's Vinyls & Designs. Her creative business included flower bouquets, shadow boxes, gift boxes, custom cups, and much more.

Those left to cherish her memory include her adoring parents, Hector Vela and Maria Vela Ibarra; her older brother, Ricardo Vela of Orange, Texas; her eldest brother, Hector Vela, and his wife, Lluvia Flores Vela of Dallas, Texas; her beloved dog, Cookie; and many extended family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be her uncles: Ivan Vela, Miguel Vela, Emanuel Vela, and Alejandro Vela; her brothers: Hector Vela and Ricardo Vela; and her cousins: Ivan Vela and Santiago Vela.

La Misa se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a.m. el sábado 5 de julio de 2025 en la iglesia católica St. Francis of Assisi en Orange, Texas. El entierro se realizará después en el cementerio St. Mary en Orange, Texas.

La velación será el viernes 4 de julio de 2025, de 4:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m., en la funeraria Claybar en Orange, Texas, con un rosario que se rezará a las 6:00 p.m.

Nacida en Beaumont, Texas, el 24 de octubre de 2002, fue la unica hija de Héctor Vela y María Vela Ibarra.Victoria se graduó recientemente con honores de Lamar State College Orange, Clase de 2024, obteniendo reconocimiento en la Lista del Presidente como Asistente Dental. Trabajaba en el North Early Learning Center en Orange, Texas, donde pudo cumplir su sueño de la infancia de convertirse en maestra. Durante su tiempo en el centro, se enamoró de ayudar a los niños a desarrollarse en el proceso de aprendizaje. Solo dos semanas antes de su fallecimiento, había aceptado un puesto de tiempo completo como asistente de maestra en el mismo centro.

Además de su trabajo en el centro, Victoria también tenía su propio pequeño negocio, al que llamó Vick's Vinyls & Designs. Su creativo emprendimiento incluía ramos de flores, cajas decorativas, cajas de regalo, vasos personalizados y mucho más.

Le sobreviven sus amorosos padres, Héctor Vela y María Vela Ibarra; su hermano mayor, Ricardo Vela, de Orange, Texas; su hermano mayor, Héctor Vela, y su esposa, Lluvia Flores Vela, de Dallas, Texas; su querida perrita, Cookie; y muchos familiares y amigos.
