Trudy Ella Malone

Trudy Ella Malone, 64, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2025, at home, surrounded by family.

She was born to Vernon and Cynthia (Hill) Malone on July 21,1961. She was the youngest of 5 children, and affectionately known as Booty, because her youngest sibling couldn't say Trudy. She had a love for her family like no other, and she made sure they knew it. She was always ready to find humor in every situation, and she found a good time wherever she went. She “in-joyed” life at a slower pace than most of us, doing her best to stay out of the rat race. She loved helping and working with Meals on wheels, OCARC, and the Salt Club. Most of all she loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She tried her hardest to live her life the way He wanted her to, and to lead others to Him by her actions and words. It brought great joy to her life to watch others grow in their relationship with God.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stan Armstrong; her sisters, Ruth Irons and Julie Dugas; brother-in-law Jimmy Dugas; and father-in-law, Robert Armstrong;

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, April Booker and husband Alvin, Katy Edgerly and husband Aaron; her sister Molly Malone; brother, Huey Malone and wife Jill; brother-in-law Mike Irons; Nephews Colin Irons and wife Charlotte, Kasey Irons and wife Jess; niece Kelley DiGiacomo and husband Anthony; Grandchildren, Tyler Ridgaway, Amber Shaver and husband Keegan, Sterling Burch, Bre’onna Booker, Me’agan Booker, Madison Booker, Taylor Booker, and Blakelynn Edgerly; great-grandchildren, Eva, John, Jace, Kadrian, Max, Raelynn, Jaxyn, Braelyn, Dalilah, and Adonis; great-nephews, Ezra and Sawyer; great-neice, Naoma; numerous cousins and extended family.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Southeast Texas Hospice for their loving care in her final days.
