Theresa Cassidy McCollough

Theresa Cassidy McCollough, 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 05, 2026.

Born on October 1, 1946, Theresa was the beloved daughter of Tom and Theresa Cassidy. She grew up with a strong sense of family and faith, values that guided her throughout her life.

On October 27, 1967, she married the love of her life, Douglas McCollough. Together, they shared three decades of love, laughter, and devotion, building a home filled with warmth and hospitality.

Theresa was a proud mother to her daughters, Alicia and Lorrie, who were the joy of her life. She also treasured her role as “Gram” to her four grandchildren—Brandon, Katie, Garrett, and Lilly—who brought her endless pride and happiness. Her family was truly her greatest joy and blessing.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. Whether it was through her friendships, her community, or her time with family, Theresa touched countless lives with her compassion and unwavering love.

Theresa is survived by her daughters, Alicia Newton (Terry) and Lorrie Dillon (David); and her grandchildren, Brandon Newton, Katie Adams, Garrett Dillon, and Lilly Dillon. She was preceded in death by parents Tom and Theresa Cassidy, husband Douglas McCollough, brothers Frank and James Cassidy and sisters Carmen Kibodeaux and Mary Cassidy.

A service to honor Theresa’s life will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 12:00p.m. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Trout Creek Cemetery in a private burial service.
