Thelma Marie ?Sister? Williams, 72, died Friday, August 03, 2007, at her home in Groves.
Memorial Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007, at Trinity Baptist Church in Willis, TX. Her sister, Dr. Linda DeLoache will officiate.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
Mrs. Williams was born October 20, 1934, in Crockett, TX, the daughter of Delbert Milburn Gates and Dennie May Vaughn Gates.
A former resident of Spring, TX, where she was a homemaker and more recently made her home in Groves.
She loved being a florist, writing books for her grandchildren and making jewelry.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Jr., her parents, D.M. Gates and Dennie May Vaughn.
She is survived by her stepmother, Ruby Gates; daughter and son in law, Kirby L. & Ronnie W. Denton of Orange,
grandchildren, Elly M. Hymes of Beaumont, Robyn L. Ewers and husband Aaron of Anchorage, AK, Mylissa Denton of Port Arthur, Rodney Denton and wife Patti Pennick of Orange and Marianna Barefield and husband Donnell of Port Arthur; great grandchildren, Haley, Alexis, Alexander and Chloe Denton, Jase and Julian Denton and Chris and Kiara Barefield.
