Born in Orange, Texas, on October 27, 1951, he was the son of Harold Rudolph Williams and Anna Maudine Neal Williams. Stevie lived a life full of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He was a remarkable man who approached every aspect of his life with passion and enthusiasm. Stevie was the epitome of devotion as a husband and father, always putting his family first. His heart was vast, and he loved big, often spoiling his wife and daughter with affection. His gentle spirit and big heart resonated with all who knew him. In 1974, he met the love of his life. Barbara always said she wanted to marry a man with dimples, blue eyes, and a beard. When she returned from spring break in college, her friend told her she had found him. From the moment they met, it was love at first sight, and they were inseparable. They began their life together in Houston, later moving to El Paso for Stevie’s work. In 1984, they welcomed their daughter, Jade, the other love of his life. They eventually returned home to Orange, where they continued building a beautiful life together. Stevie loved hosting and took great joy in cooking for family and friends. He was the best chef his family had ever known, and nothing made him happier than taking care of his girls. Some of his family’s favorite memories were their countless trips to Florida. He spent his days grilling in the gazebo, meeting people from all over the country, and trading cooking tips with anyone who stopped by. Those trips were filled with laughter, good food, and moments they will always hold close. He loved playing golf, especially with his brother, John. Together, they played nearly every course in Southeast Texas and beyond. Golf wasn’t just a hobby for him, it was a way to connect with the people he loved. He taught Jade to play when she was young and never missed one of her tournaments. Later, he passed that same love to his grandsons, teaching them the game as well. Jackson especially cherished their time playing virtual golf together, creating memories they both treasured. His grandsons became his entire world. He never missed their games, school events, or celebrations, and he cheered louder than anyone in the stands. He was their number one fan and loved supporting them in every moment of their lives. An avid music lover, he took great joy in sharing his favorite songs with others, believing in the power of music to bring people together. Stevie's love for fishing provided him with moments of tranquility and reflection. His favorite nickname, "Poppy," which he proudly embraced beginning in 2016, brought him immense joy and further highlighted the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren. A former member of the Old First Orange Baptist Church, Stevie's passion for music flourished as he sang in the choir, contributing his talent to the community he cherished. He was also a proud member of the Hole in One Club, a symbol of his love for golf and the friendships formed on the greens. Stevie leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and warmth that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his extraordinary life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maudine Williams; and his brothers, Raleigh Williams, Harold Williams, Jr., and Jerry Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara Williams; his daughter, Jade Nicole Johnson and husband, Justin; his grandchildren, Jackson Johnson, and Jasper Johnson; his brother, John David Williams and wife, Connie; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Armfield, Eric Adams, Chris Price, Shawn Williams, Brian Williams, and Jeff Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Adams, Jr., and Richard Oregeron.
