Steven Dawson Kimbell

Steven Dawson Kimbell, 46, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2026, at home.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Visitation will begin prior to the service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Dallas, Texas, on January 31, 1979, Steven Kimbell was the son of David Eugene Kimbell, Jr. and Rebecca (Henley) Kimbell. He worked as a valve technician for Scallon Controls, where he was known for his work ethic, dedication, and reliability, qualities he proudly learned from his father.

Steven was a hardworking man who devoted much of his life to his career, but his greatest joy came from his family. He was a deeply loved son, father, husband, brother, and uncle, and he took great pride in each of these roles. In his free time, he enjoyed working on his truck, riding his lawnmower, watching sports, and working out. He adored his dogs, Teddy and Itsy.

Known for his willingness to help anyone in need, Steven touched the lives of all who knew him. His compassion and loyalty will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Steven was a man who led by quiet example, listened more than he spoke, and gave more than he took. His faith shaped the way he lived and gave him peace in his final days.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Kimbell, and his grandparents, David Sr. and Peggy Kimbell.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Kimbell; his father, David Kimbell, Jr., and Gail Kimmons; his son, Trevor Kimbell and partner Grace; his brother, Tony Kimbell; his sister-in-law, Crystal West and husband Mark West; his niece, Destini Trahan; his nephew, Ryan West; and numerous other family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
