Born in Pineland, Texas, on August 24, 1946, she was the daughter of Harold Adams and Mary (Williams) Adams. Sheila's heart was as warm and bright as the twinkling Christmas lights that filled her home during this most wonderful time of the year. As “Maw Maw” to her adoring grandchildren, she brought immense joy and laughter into their lives. Her affinity for gathering family together during the holiday season created an enchanting atmosphere where stories were shared, laughter was abundant, and the fragrance of delicious home-cooked meals filled the air. Sheila's love for family gatherings was matched only by her passion for Christmas. Her spirit came alive with the sounds of cheerful carols, and she brought joy to every occasion with her delightful singing. Whether she was cooking beloved holiday recipes or simply engaging in heartfelt conversation. Fond memories of spending time with her cousins, known as "The Golden Girls", filling her evenings with laughter and love, anchoring her to the moments that mattered most. She had an adventurous side, delighted in travel, camping under the stars, fishing by the water, and even embarking on splendid cruises, each experience adding more color to the rich tapestry of her life. As we unwrap the gifts of memories she gifted us over the years, let us hold tight to the love she gave.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Adams; husband, Emerson Navarre; daughters, Rhonda Franklin, Sondra Navarre, Elizabeth Navarre, and Donna Green; grandson, John Depwe; and brother Mike Adams and wife Abby.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Perry and husband Lee; sons, Melvin Navarre and wife Judy, and Terry Navarre and wife Kari; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister, Vita Swearers and husband Mike; brother, Paul Adams and wife Rhonda; numerous other loving family and friends.
